Most Carnival heroes are always needed on the parade day (24th of May): Our Safety Heroes actively communicate with the audience and ensure safety along the parade route. As part of our sustainability working group, we launched the Clean Up Day in 2024. Here, we encourage everyone in the carnival network to work together to clean up the last bits of trash along the parade route. Dressed in costumes and armed with tongs, we meet in front of Café Sibylle at 3 p.m. on Monday 25th of May and clean up as much as possible within about two hours.
Yes, you will receive an official KdK neon vest, which you must wear during your shift. This ensures the necessary visibility. Unfortunately, you cannot keep it, but you can choose a shirt from our merchandise stock if you are interested. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
You will receive the cell phone number of the Supervisor during the briefing. This person is your direct contact on site for all questions and emergencies. In addition, there will be a Telegram group to enable you to exchange ideas with the other carnival heroes.
