Create the anniversary look!
Your key visual for 30 years of Karneval der Kulturen
The Karneval der Kulturen is turning 30 – create the anniversary look!
Whether you are a visual artist, designer, or illustrator, whether applying as an individual or as a team:
We are looking for an extraordinary visual statement for 30 years of lived diversity. Your key visual will define the entire appearance of the Karneval der Kulturen 2026 – from posters and the website to social media and onsite.
About us:
The Karneval der Kulturen is the largest post-migrant cultural intervention in public space in Germany (and the second largest in Europe!) that takes a clear stand against right-wing extremism and discrimination and advocates for a free, sustainable, and peaceful society.
Every year, with our art, we bare our teeth against all forms of discrimination and celebrate an open and diverse society. Like almost nowhere else, we and our visitors reflect the diversity of Berlin and the world. We are people of many different backgrounds and cultural references, bringing our passions, ideas, and wishes creatively into the streets to share them—free of charge—with an open-minded audience (over 1.1 million people each year). Our themes and impulses are as diverse as our city. People of all ages from every neighborhood of Berlin have the opportunity to take part in the Karneval der Kulturen and to make their art and their many concerns visible in the urban space.
